Police - CHILD ABDUCTION WARNING NOTICES
Child Abduction Warning Notices also known as CAWNs are viewed as a safeguarding measure to protect children. A CAWN can be issued on a suspect by the Police and the issuing of a Warning Notice should be viewed as a protective and proactive measure to safeguard a young person. This notice makes it clear to the suspect/adult they should not be allowing the named child to be with them.
