About this event:
Professionals across Waltham Forest’s safeguarding adults partnership are invited to enhance their professional skills and knowledge with an online training session on safeguarding adults, with learning from recent Safeguarding Adults Reviews (SAR) Ivan. This course focuses on key aspects of safeguarding practices, including escalation, making effective referrals, adopting a Think Family approach, and best practice in regards to multi-agency information-sharing.

Key learning objectives:

Understand the importance of timely and appropriate escalation in safeguarding concerns
Learn how to create clear, concise, and effective referrals to achieve the best outcomes for adults at risk
What to do when a vulnerable adult goes missing
Develop confidence in multi-agency information-sharing, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks and best practices

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

Recognise and act upon safeguarding concerns using structured escalation processes.
Write and submit referrals that contain all necessary information for swift and appropriate action.
Apply the Think Family approach to ensure holistic, person-centered safeguarding strategies.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, sharing information effectively to safeguard adults at risk.
This training is ideal for professionals working in health, social care, police, fire service, or any setting where safeguarding adults is a priority.
